It would probably be more correct to title this Running With Pain. Everyone I've discussed this with has felt, even though there's not an MD in the group, very comfortable diagnosing me with sciatica. They're not doctors but they play ones. :-)
Hip, pelvis pain, sometimes radiating around the small of my back and occasionally down the leg. It was worse. I cut back dramatically on my workouts and that took care of the more sharp, stabbing pain that would make my leg give out under me.
I'm now down to running the bare minimum. I even took last week off. Went out today with the intention of running an easy 3. I pulled up at 2 and walked home.
Running is a big question mark that’s there each and every day. It asks you, ‘Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?' - Peter Maher, Irish-Canadian Olympian

find a physio who specialises in athletics. a lot of times you'll have muscle knots that rub nerves. sometimes it's more serious.
whatever you do, get advice from someone who knows anatomy professionally.
