For the kitchen, we are going to have an undermount sink. This isn't the countertop we chose but does show what an undermount sink looks like:

Yeah, I am not sure if it looks nicer than the usual sink with a lip over the counter. I choose it strictly because I think I won't have to clean and scrape that edge of the sink and the counter. That is me - always about the cleaning!
